What We Offer

Services & Repairs

We carry out most standard and specialist repair work in-house at our Southport workshop. Below is a breakdown of what we do and what's involved.

Routine Maintenance

Oil & Filter Changes

Engine oil is your car's most basic protection. Over time it breaks down, accumulates contaminants, and becomes less effective at lubricating moving parts. Regular oil changes are one of the simplest things you can do to extend the life of your engine.

We always use the grade of oil specified for your engine — this matters more than it sounds. Using the wrong viscosity or specification can affect performance and in some cases void a warranty.

What's included:

  • Drain old oil and replace with correct-specification oil
  • Fit new oil filter
  • Check oil level and top up as needed
  • Visual inspection of other fluid levels
  • Reset service indicator where applicable

When it's needed:

Most modern cars need an oil change every 10,000–15,000 miles, or roughly once a year — whichever comes first. Older vehicles or those with turbo engines may need more frequent changes. Check your owner's manual if unsure.

Brake Repair & Replacement

Brakes are the most safety-critical system on your car. We diagnose and repair the full braking system — pads, discs, callipers, brake lines, and brake fluid. We'll always show you what we found and why a repair is or isn't needed.

Don't delay on brakes. Squealing is a wear indicator working as intended. Grinding means the pad has worn through — and damage to the disc may already be occurring.

What we cover:

  • Brake pad inspection and replacement
  • Brake disc inspection, machining, or replacement
  • Calliper inspection and replacement
  • Brake fluid replacement
  • Handbrake adjustment
  • ABS sensor diagnostics (where applicable)

Engine Diagnostics

Modern vehicles rely on a complex network of sensors and control units. When a warning light appears, we use professional diagnostic equipment to read fault codes and identify exactly what's triggering them — rather than guessing.

A fault code doesn't always mean a replacement part is needed. Sometimes it's a sensor reading, a software issue, or something that needs clearing after a repair elsewhere. We'll tell you what we find honestly.

What's included:

  • Full OBD-II diagnostic scan
  • Live data analysis across all systems
  • Clear explanation of findings
  • Written estimate for any recommended work
  • Fault code clearance where appropriate

Ride & Handling

Suspension & Steering

A worn suspension system affects tyre wear, handling, and braking performance — not just ride comfort. Clunking over bumps, pulling to one side, or uneven tyre wear are all signs worth investigating.

What we cover:

  • Shock absorber and strut inspection & replacement
  • Control arm and ball joint work
  • Anti-roll bar links and bushes
  • Wheel alignment and tracking
  • Steering rack inspection
  • Power steering fluid check and top-up

Electrical Systems

Electrical faults can be some of the trickiest to diagnose correctly. We use proper diagnostic tools rather than the trial-and-error approach that results in unnecessary parts being replaced.

What we cover:

  • Battery testing and replacement
  • Alternator and charging system checks
  • Starter motor diagnosis
  • Lighting faults (bulbs, circuits, sensors)
  • Fuse and relay checks
  • ECU and sensor replacement

Routine Upkeep

General Maintenance

Keeping up with your car's service schedule prevents small issues from becoming expensive ones.

Interim Service

Covers oil and filter change, fluid top-ups, tyre inspection, brake check, and a general visual inspection. Ideal every 6 months or 6,000 miles.

Full Service

Everything in an interim service plus air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs (where applicable), battery check, and a more thorough inspection of all key systems.

Coolant & Fluid Flush

Old coolant loses its anti-corrosion properties over time. We drain, flush, and refill with the correct specification for your vehicle.

Tyre Fitting & Balancing

We supply and fit tyres at competitive prices and carry out wheel balancing as standard. We'll also advise on tyre condition and wear patterns.

Timing Belt & Auxiliary Belts

Timing belts should be replaced at the manufacturer's specified interval — failure can be catastrophic. We'll advise on the correct schedule for your vehicle.

Exhaust Inspection

We inspect the full exhaust system for leaks, corrosion, and mounting issues. Exhaust faults affect emissions, noise, and occasionally performance.
